Cape Chamonix
was the overall winner at the 2009 Santam Classic Wine Trophy, held in Cape Town. With 300 hectares of vineyards having a huge altitude variation (250 m to 450m), each variety is planted in optimal position for its suitable microclimate. !00% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, destemmed, were barrel fermented, then spent 11 months on the lees developing layers of exotic spice, ripe fig and tropical fruit flavors with an intriguing herbal note.
