With more than 50 years of experience with vintages in Burgundy, Michel Lafarge has the respect of his peers, reviewers and certainly of those lucky enough to have enjoyed his wines. The Bourgogne Rouge, from 40+ year old vines that were once classified as Volnay villages, has been rated: “Outstanding Top Value!” by Burghound.  The   nose offers up red berry fruit aromas and a hint of underbrush that precedes nicely rich and concentrated flavors that are supported by firm tannins and a moderately rustic finish. It delivers fine quality for its level plus it will age.
