An exotic, special white wine to thrill even your most jaded friends! A native grape of Alsace, Auxerrois is the lesser-known sibling of Chardonnay, both sharing the same genetic parentage of Gouais Blanc and Pinot Noir. Sometimes called Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois naturally tends toward moderate acid expression and carries a richness of texture like that of its more well-known sibling, Chardonnay. The grape was initially planted in Oregon in the 1980s by David Adelsheim who had cuttings brought to Oregon State University in the 1970s along with select clones of Pinot Noir. Situated in the cool-climate windblown Eola-Amity Hills AVA in southern Willamette Valley, Auxerrois was first planted at Zenith vineyard in 1997, and the source blocks for this wine were planted in 2012. 2019 is the fourth vintage Raptor Ridge has produced with this unique and rare grape variety.

Sustainable, LIVE Certified
