A blend of 75% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle, the grapes for this bottling are grown in a cooler microclimate for the appellation, ensuring a sophisticated crispness to the finished wines. By using such a high proportion of Sémillon and a splash of Muscadelle, owner Hervé Dubourdieu creates a rich, full, aromatic mid-palate to complement the clean finish. This is splendid accompaniment to everything from fish to poultry, picnic fare to Indian curries. Hervé also owns and operates the great Bordeaux dessert wine estate Château Roûmieu-Lacoste in Haut Barsac.
