Producer's Notes: Nittardi Riserva Selezionata is only produced in excellent years, and the 2009 vintage is without doubt one of those years. The selected grapes are grown on a single hill with southern exposure, the Vigna Alta, at an altitude of almost 1,650 feet. Vini d’Italia awarded Nittardi Riserva 2001, Nittardi Riserva 2003 and Nittardi Riserva 2004 the highest category with 5 bottles, making this wine regularly not only an excellent Chianti Classico, but also an Italian Vino dell’Eccellenza.
