We are pleased to offer the 1st batch of this bourbon collaboration between J. Henry & Sons and Goose Island. 

Goose Island started in 1988, and for their 1000th batch in 1992 created the first bourbon barrel aged beer. Since then, the creative brewers at Goose Island have created some of the finest and most unique barrel aged beers on the planet. 

Husk originated as a ‘Harvest Wine’ beer, a completely new category using a malted version of J. Henry’s Signature W335A Red Heirloom corn to create a velvety beer. This was aged for a little over a year in used J. Henry bourbon casks. The result was a beer that’s perfect for harvest season with notes of toffee, vanilla, dried fruit & almond. 

After the beer was bottled, those same barrels returned to J. Henry & Sons for a second maturation. Resting 5-year bourbon back in these bourbon-beer barrels for another year produced a secondary cask finish like no other with an incredible fusion of texture, aroma and flavor.
