Niigata is known in Japan for its “Three White” treasures – snow, rice and sake – and it is considered a naturally-blessed environment for its water purity. Made in Niigata, SHINOBU, “Forbearance” in Japanese, Whisky is hand-crafted by the creative master-blender, Mr. Usami, by carefully selecting barrels (from different distilleries) initially stored in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks. Usami then finishes these whiskies with precious Japanese Mizunara oak. The blended expression contains 50% malt and 50% grain, and the result is a unique fusion of flavors and a dynamic explosion on the palate that is simultaneously smooth and easy to drink. All natural with no coloring. 43% abv.
